@Sim-plicity-Dev i updated the firmware on my SW25 and it definitely has updated from 19.08.01 as now I have virtual torque and max speed can go up, which i never had before, However it still says v19.08.01 on the software box?

Sounds like you've updated the desktop app but the controller is still on the older version.
Can you confirm that the "Base Package" has previously been installed on this PC and not uninstalled in the interim?
Ensure when running the installer that the controller is powered up and USB cable connected.

@sim-plicity-dev Untitled (1).png Untitled.png new firmware certainly changed the feel of my sw25 for sure. in the same car porsche cup on iracing i had to turn the weight down and controller mode up one notch for it to feel as smooth. increased speed is nice and the virtual torque definitely makes the slower corners and low speed ffb heavier and better for me. massive changes i can feel in this firmware going from 19.09.01. Thank you simplicty team

@Sim-plicity-Dev any reason why on the new firmware oscillations very hard to tune out, on old 19.08.01 fimrware i rand 1.25 weight and had no oscillation when letting go of the wheel on the straights in iracing, now i cannot let go of wheel. I cannot turn weight up more than 0.50 otherwise i get sandy grainy feel, do i need to have controller mode up way higher? or do i need weighted center? my above settings feel goodand actually better overall but wheel is too lively on straights.

Just download and install the new firmware. It feels really good super impressed but was wondering.
My virtual torque setting is at 20.00NM at default and can't go any lower.
Is that the same with everyone else?

If it is the default setting is it adding the new effect if kept at 20.00NM?

"Virtual Torque" cannot be set below the "Torque" value. It is indexed to "Torque" and once set will rise and fall proportionally with "Torque" changes.

From your description the "Weight" value is too low for the car & track combination.
When optimizing for a specific car & track, you should set the "Weight" value to your ideal first (fingertip steering down a straight, not jerky out of corners), then adjust other values to reflect/improve.

The new controllers will come in multiple configurations

                              • board only
                              • encased board with external desktop PSU (supplied or purchased from 3rd party)
                              • encased board with internal integrated PSU

Any of the existing wheelbases can be upgraded by selecting an appropriate configuration.

There will be a "Configuration Helper" tool available on release to aid the selection process.

                                  I finally upgraded my SW20v3 from v20.11.00 to v21.02.06

Works perfect, cant feel any difference from v20.11.00.
                                  Using Rfactor2.

                                        Hi,

I'm just curious what you are looking for regarding feedback?
Are there any specific things sim-plicity devs are interested in?
What about the progress for the beta fw? Is it delayed because of too little feedback from alpha testers?

                                        BR

Any & all feedback is welcome.
Too little (or no) feedback is still useful as it indicates sufficient stability to promote the release to the next level unchanged.
This is the case with v21.02.06 which is now "Beta".

We expect v21.07.01 to replace it as the latest "Alpha" release on Monday 8th of November
