Hey quick question. If down the line I wanted to upgrade to say the 13nm wheel can I just buy a motor and use my current control box or do I have to get the whole set.

The control units are designed around the motor and internal components are selected to suit. Firmware is then built for this unique hardware combination.

It is thus not possible to replace the motor and still have a functional wheelbase.

Wheelbases that share the same motor can be upgraded with a control unit exchange but the inverse is not the case.

Thanks for the quick reply. So is the 7 a completely different motor and control unit to all the other ones or is it capable of putting out a bit more with a new control box?

The motor in the SW7C is unique within our range and is running at the maximum of its capabilities.

@sim-plicity-dev thank you, guess i will just have to start saving for a bigger one then. Love the 7 but feel i could do with a bit more sometimes.
