I'm about to replace simplicity supplied wheel adapter with Simcoe Hub/ adapter.

I'm going to have to take off the steering wheel and Adapter to clean up the rust on the motor shaft for Simcoes drive lock that holds Simcoe custom made shaft/hub to work.

It's quite a niggly operation. Supposedly the motor shaft has to be spotless.

But what I'm concerned about is how to reinstall the steering wheel and Simcoe adapter in the exact same spot so when the wheel initialize it won't be on same crazy degree.

In the Configuration Tool I have noticed "Center Wheel" box that you can tick.

But I'm pretty sure that doesn't do anything as I have played around with that before. Ever since day one my wheel has been about 5° off center after it initialize.
I've updated the firewear half a dozen times over the last 2 years and it's always been 5° off .It doesn't seem to be a problem driving in any sim.
It's just that I've tried clicking that center wheel box and I'm sure it doesn't do anything.

I just had an idea. Maybe I'll put it all together but leave the wheel rim off.
Let the Hub initialize then install the wheel rim afterwards?

"Center Wheel" in the simplicity software has always worked for me even if its just a few degrees out.
